If press reports are to be believed, the White House is hoping that if it decides to try the 9/11 plotters in a military tribunal, it will secure some GOP support for closing Guantanamo and bringing some terror suspects onto U.S. soil.
But leading Republicans have a two word answer: No deal.
I really wish the White House would get real. The Republicans will not go along with anything it does. Say nothing of the fact that the White House is considering moving the KSM trial back to a military tribunal. Holy hell. Just take a stand and stick with it. People dig that more than constantly fishing for approval. Sheesh.
