Senator Barack Obama

This Is The Big Question

The corporate media needs to spend more time answering this question:

Is Obama's seeming triumph over Clinton "one of the biggest upsets" in modern political campaigns or is it the biggest?

The answer, as we've discussed here many times, is clearly YES. Senator Obama has bested the most popular Democratic name brand in the world. He has bested the legendary President Bill Clinton. He has bested the legendary Senator Hillary Clinton. He has bested a 20-year-old political machine, occupied by the top names in the party (McAuliffe, Ickes, Rendell, Bayh, Wolfson, etc, etc).

The fact that the race turned out to be close is irrelevant considering a man named Barack Obama, who no-one heard of before 2004, stepped up and ran one of the smartest, most-disciplined Democratic campaigns for the nomination... ever... against the most popular Democratic brand in existence today.

And he's going to win in November.
