I did a one day quick trip up to San Francisco yesterday for last night's YouTube Live event. It was really great; I talked to Joe Satriani twice, will.i.am said he liked a video I made, Soulja Boy Get 'Em showed me his bling, I went to party thrown by MC Hammer, Obama Girl bumped me in the nose and I got two hugs from the Free Hugs guy. I'll be posting a video report on HuffPost soon.
But the main thing I want to mention - it's a great time to travel. Gas prices at a three year low. I flew LAX to SFO on Virgin US for $49 each way. I booked a HotWire.com hotel for $35 by the airport. The TSA rules are goofy but pretty organized at this point. Maybe my post election high hasn't worn off but this is a great country to travel around and now is an awesome time to do it. Throw a loved one or three in the car, fill the tank, hit the road, take a lot of pictures and talk to the locals.
