Trump Says China Isn’t Giving Him What He wants

Trump toured an Apple assembly plant in Austin, Texas yesterday alongside Apple CEO Tim Cook and during the tour he responded to reports that his "greatest and biggest deal ever" has been delayed.

Trump did not explicitly acknowledge or say that his supposedly-done deal has been delayed, but he said China isn't "stepping up" or at least isn't giving him exactly what he wants.

AUSTIN, Texas (Reuters) - U.S. President Donald Trump said on Wednesday he has not made a trade deal with China yet because Beijing is not “stepping up” in negotiations.

“I don’t think they’re stepping up to the level that I want,” Trump told reporters after touring a plant in Austin that assembles Apple Inc computers.

In closely related news, China's foreign ministry has invited American officials to Beijing for yet another round of face-to-face talks.

During a phone call thought to have been made late last week, Chinese Vice Premier Liu He reportedly invited U.S. Trade Representative Robert Lighthizer and Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin to Beijing to sit down for further negotiations.

It was not clear whether U.S. negotiators had accepted Liu’s invitation. However, the [Wall Street Journal] said U.S. trade officials were willing to meet with their Chinese counterparts.

Assuming that Lighthizer and Mnuchin will accept China's invitation, the earliest that meeting could possibly happen is after the Thanksgiving holiday.

If that's the case, their meeting will occur during the same week that Trump was suppose to meet Chinese President Xi Jinping on the sidelines of the upcoming NATO summit.

I'm not saying it's impossible the Trump's bozos won't quickly fly to China and put the finishing touches on a deal that appears to be further out of reach than it was just a week ago, but it does seem very unlikely, doesn't it?

Trump regime officials are unlikely to acknowledge Trump's 'greatest deal' has been delayed -- a deal which he first announced in October -- because the market will likely lose much of the value gained after Trump made that fake announcement.
