Sure, economic activity would suck for those three months, but the epidemic would be sorta kinda under control. The economy would survive a shock like that.

On the other hand, if 2+ million people die and the epidemic lasts (far) longer, the uncertainty would lengthen and deepen the recession.

Unfortunately, nobody on FNC or OAN is telling him about the first option.
