Trump’s Tariffs on Imports From China Are Here

Written by SK Ashby

The Trump regime has finally published a list of Chinese goods and products they intended to impose tariffs on beginning on July 6th.

But we can't call this a "final" list of goods that will face tariffs because Trump is already preparing to escalate once China responds.

“The United States will pursue additional tariffs if China engages in retaliatory measures, such as imposing new tariffs on United States goods, services, or agricultural products; raising non-tariff barriers or taking punitive actions against American exporters or American companies operating in China,” Trump said in a statement.

Earlier on Friday, China vowed to do just that, saying it would strike back, just hours before Trump’s statement.

Trump and his cabinet are going to say that they're targeting Chinese technology that was derived from intellectual property and plans stolen from the United States, but let's be very clear: this has nothing to do with that.

Intellectual property theft may be a legitimate problem, but Trump's tariffs do not target advanced technology or consumer products like cell phones and other telecommunications equipment.

Read the extremely long list of tariffs for yourself right here and you'll notice that it's almost entirely basic industrial machinery and farming equipment.

It's the latter I want to focus on because Trump is about to fuck American farmers sideways.

Here's a few items on Trump's list of tariffs:

-Plows for soil preparation or cultivation
-Disc harrows for soil preparation or cultivation
-Haymaking machinery
-Combine harvester-threshers
-Root or tuber harvesting machines
-Dairy machinery other than milking machines
-Parts for milking machines and dairy machiner
-Machinery for preparing animal feeds
-Poultry incubators and brooders
-Poultry-keeping machinery
-Machines for cleaning, sorting or grading seed, grain or dried leguminous vegetables
-Machinery for the preparation of meat or poultry
-Machinery for the industrial preparation or manufacture of food or drink

Those items among many others are about to become at least 25 percent more expensive for American farmers to buy and, on top of that, we already know China's retaliatory measures will directly target American agriculture.

I was going to say Trump will fuck farmers "twice," but I suppose they've already been fucked several times by Trump's global trade war with Mexico, Canada, and the European Union.
