Meanwhile, the Ford Motor Company says it's going all electric in Europe and they're going to do it very fast.

Ford said that by mid-2026, all of the passenger cars it sells in Europe will be either all-electric or plug-in hybrid vehicles that have both an internal combustion engine plus a battery and electric motor. The company aims for its European passenger cars to be all-electric by 2030.

Finally, researchers say up to 100 million people may need to switch careers because the coronavirus pandemic eliminated (or soon will) their position altogether.

Over 100 million workers in eight of the world’s largest economies may need to switch occupation by 2030 as the Covid-19 pandemic accelerates changes to the labor force, according to research by McKinsey & Co. One-in-16 workers in China, France, Germany, India, Japan, Spain, the U.K. and U.S. will likely need to change profession, a report published Thursday found. The less educated, women, ethnic minorities and young people will be most affected and, for many, it will mean retraining to seek work in higher-skilled roles as the share of employment in low-wage occupations declines.

I'm sorry I was not here yesterday and did not say I would be absent, but it was not planned. One of my closest friends had what I would charitably call a manic episode (which they took out on me) on Tuesday night and I could barely function for most of yesterday. That person will no longer be part of my life going forward.
