In other news, the Wisconsin state supreme court has tossed out Trump's last attempt to have a large number of votes invalidated.

Meanwhile, Donald Trump Jr. reportedly wants to take over the NRA to preserve the Trump family name in right wing politics. I'm pretty sure the NRA will be dissolved soon.

Finally, the Justice Department has filed a lawsuit against Facebook alleging the company discriminates against -- checks notes -- white Americans by hiring too many foreigners.

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The U.S. Justice Department accused Facebook Inc on Thursday of discriminating against U.S. workers, saying in a new lawsuit the social media giant has given hiring preferences to temporary workers, including those who hold H-1B visas.

The Justice Department said that Facebook had “refused” to recruit, consider or hire qualified U.S. workers for more than 2,600 jobs that in many cases paid an average salary of $156,000 a year.

Instead, it opted to fill the positions using temporary visa holders, such as those with H-1B visas, the department added.

I hate Facebook even more than most people, but this still seems like a stretch to me.

Facebook may be hiring foreign workers because they're cheaper, but that's not unique to Facebook in the tech world. Framing this as "discrimination" against domestic (read: mostly white) workers frames it in terms of racial grievance and part of Trump's larger assault on legal immigration systems.

We could reform our visa and temporary worker programs to reduce abuse if Republicans in Congress were actually willing to compromise on a comprehensive immigration reform package. But many of them actually like the abuse and compromise isn't part of their language.
