He picked a piss-poor weapon for personal protection. A weapon like that is not very good at close range, which is the likeliest position he’d be attacked from. I’d say he’s even less safe than he imagines for that very reason, but hey, maybe he feels invincible with the weapon. He may just get proven wrong some day though.

What a moron. If he keeps doing this and people keep calling the police on him, this eventually will end badly for him. He’ll make the wrong move and some nervous cop will shoot him. Or he’ll meet up with some worried citizen who’s determined to “stand his ground”. If everyone is carrying guns, it gets kind of hard to tell who the “good guys” are.
