Poll

You’re Doing Great

Another round of polls is beginning to emerge and they aren’t good for Republicans.

The latest ABC News/Washington Post poll found 74 percent of Americans disapproving of how congressional Republicans are handling the budget negotiations, up from 63 percent two weeks ago. Fifty-four percent said they “strongly” disapprove of the Republicans while 20 percent said they “somewhat” disapprove. Only 21 percent said they approve of the way Republicans have handled the talks.

According to the poll, only 27 percent of self-identified Republicans approve of the way Republicans are handling negotiations, meaning they don’t even have the approval of the entire Lunatic Base.

Of course you could interpret that several ways. I would interpret it to mean that lower base approval is a result of not being extreme enough, but that’s just an educated guess.
