In other news, seven charities and counting have now canceled their fundraising events at Trump's Mar-a-Lago resort. These include the Cleveland Clinic, the Red Cross, the American Cancer Society, and the Salvation Army, among others.

I can't figure out why they ever held events there to begin with.

Meanwhile, the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights has voted to condemn Trump's call for banning transgender military service. You can read their statement here. Trump still hasn't delivered a formal policy on the matter to the Department of Defense. Maybe he'll just forget. Or maybe he think it's already done.

Finally, Flying Monkey Caucus founder Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) says he wants spending cuts in exchange for raising the federal debt ceiling and he can't imagine Paul Ryan would agree to raise the ceiling without cuts.

“I hope they’re not moving in that direction,” Jordan said Friday in an interview. “I just would be shocked if Paul Ryan would go in that direction. The speaker understands the gravity of our debt situation.”

Spoiler: Paul Ryan will raise the debt ceiling without cuts because he is John Boehner now.

This has been a mentally exhausting week(s) and my brain is like a shriveled raisin. Have a good weekend.
