This has probably been observed numerous times today, but this new argument from the Republicans (paraphrasing) -- "if the government ran out of money on Cash for Clunkers, how can they be trusted with healthcare?" -- falls perfectly in line with the array of ridiculous, thin, pathetic attacks from the far-right.
Here's how. The Republicans, who are apparently opposed to government spending, are suddenly complaining that the administration didn't spend enough on Cash for Clunkers?
That's rich.
By the way, knowing what we know about conservatives and their opposition to government spending, we can only assume that there weren't any Republicans taking advantage of the Cash for Clunkers program, right?
