Ah yes. The "both sides" argument. In this case, it's like saying, everyone breaks the law at some point therefore everyone is guilty of high crimes. While there might be a sporadic freakdog who happens to be liberal, the vast majority of violent threats and such are coming from the right. Sorry, Mr. Cantor, but "100 on the right, and two (or whatever) on the left" isn't equal. It's not the same. So stop it. You're embarrassing yourself.
