MSNBC's Washington bureau chief, Mark Whitaker, is making with the hackery again. Just now:

And I think what we seem to be headed for is a search for some kind of compromise where you'll have something that will look like a public option, feel like a public option, provide some competition with the private insurance companies, but won't necessarily be the public option that uh, uh the people on the left wing of the party were hoping for.

The left wing of the party, eh? 76 percent of the American people -- according to a poll from Whitaker's own network -- support a public option. Is he suggesting that 76 percent of America is "left wing"?
