Wingnuts

Impeach! Impeach!

Bob Woodward's new book about the White House quotes the president:

"We can absorb a terrorist attack. We'll do everything we can to prevent it, but even a 9/11, even the biggest attack ever . . . we absorbed it and we are stronger."

Of course. If there's another attack, America is strong enough and powerful enough to recover. But for the usual myopic reasons, the wingnut right is seizing upon this quote, insisting that -- I don't know -- the president is inviting another attack? For example, John Bolton thinks the president doesn't care about Americans being killed in a terrorist attack.

But the president's statement makes perfect sense to anyone with a brain in their gourds. It illustrates that America is, well, exceptional. So why does the far-right disagree with that? Sounds like they would have preferred the president outline how America would fall to pieces after another 9/11.
