Newt Gingrich is on Face the Nation this morning. For some reason.
Gingrich doesn't hold any elected office currently and he doesn't have a book he's promoting right now. He hasn't done anything recently other than say crazy things like this.
I really have no idea why it suddenly matters what he has to say about anything. But he's on TV all the time.
Wait! I know! It's about the script. See, the last time we had a Democratic president, Newt was a big deal. So the corporate media has dusted off that particular script. I hope it ends the same way this time. Newt resigning in disgrace and going into hiding for a decade.
