Conservative Rural Farmers Sue the Trump Regime

Everything is funny to me today.

A group of rural poultry farmers who voted for Trump are banding together to file a lawsuit against the Trump regime because Trump reversed an Obama-era rule allowing small farms to sue their corporate overlords.

Under the old rules, independent farmers who wanted to challenge their corporate benefactors had to prove that corporations harmed farmers across the entire industry rather than just one individual farm. The Department of Agriculture under President Obama lowered the bar so that farmers only had to prove that their own farm was harmed, but the Trump regime recently eliminated it.

Farmers are now suing because they want the Obama-era rule.

The petition by the farmers was filed Dec. 14 with the U.S. Court of Appeals in St. Louis.

“I’m quite disappointed in the fact that the president hasn’t followed through on promises to help the little guy, including family farmers,” said Mike Weaver, a poultry farmer in West Virginia, president of the Organization for Competitive Markets and self-proclaimed Trump voter. “If it takes legal action to accomplish things that should be done otherwise, then that’s what we’re going to do.” [...]

Weaver isn’t ready to commit to changing his political leanings, but he’s considering it. “If we can’t get the support from the Congress or the administration that we think farmers deserve, it’s certainly going to affect the way we vote,” he said. “If they won’t support us, we’ll see if we can get somebody who will.”

Trump isn't really helping the little guy? You don't say!

Maybe it was a bad idea to vote for a fucking fraud in a party of frauds.

And the problem is that they will vote for people like this over and over again, because they are too easily duped by the conservative noise machine. They take all their walking orders from there and never do any critical thinking. So their world view is that any politician with a “D” behind their name is the “enemy”, while every politician with an “R” behind their name is a “family values savior”. You cannot get any better proof other than the fact that the Russians were the embodiment of Pure Evil for decades and the Reagan Republicans had them hiding under every bed and in every closet to jump out and yell boo to scare everyone, but now that Das Trump is in bed with them, the Putin regime is suddenly commendable and great and nothing to be upset about as they infiltrate our democratic voting process. And all it took was for Fox News and the Conservative Noise Machine to tell them so.

Ah, irony. I had thought it dead, but no, it was merely coughing up blood.

These farmers probably voted, to a person, for Donald Trump ’cause they din’t want no damn’ Demonrat a-runnin’ Murca! Any of the affected farmers who didn’t vote for Trump, I have a great deal of sympathy for; those who did are fools and idiots and I have no patience for their oh, poor us to have been so grievously deceived! shtick.

“If we can’t get the support from the Congress or the administration that we think farmers deserve, it’s certainly going to affect the way we vote,” he said.

    Bullshit.

You know that’s what he means.

You’re disappointed, Mike? Well, I’m just shocked, shocked to find out Trump is a liar.

You stupid damn fucking fool, you had someone who would have supported you. You were just too busy face-planting in your own drool to vote for her.

I has always been amazing to me why people like this could not have seen this coming. trump stiffed everyone but the people he stiffed first and with the most relish were the working people. Contractors, who performed work for him and never got paid. People who put their life savings into deposits to buy in buildings that never got built. jNo surprise to anyone who knows his pathetic record of grift and corruption.

They would have to turn off Fox News to know this. And the is the largest stumbling block.

I am heartened that he is considering changing his party affiliation over this but I would be happy if he took that first step and stopped listening to/watching the conservative media complex.
