In other news, the House of Representatives has canceled activity for the rest of the week and is leaving for recess early. Must be nice.

Meanwhile, one of Trump's lawyers, Jay Sekulow, has reportedly steered millions of dollars in donations to himself and his family by appealing to poor Christian evangelicals who hate abortion and Obamacare. These people deserve each other.

Finally, a transgender student has filed a lawsuit against Allen D. Nease High School in Ponte Vedra Beach, FL for banning him from using the boys restroom just because of an anonymous complaint against him.

Drew Adams came out as transgender when he was 14, and started his freshman year at the school in August 2015 as a boy, which was reflected on his drivers' license and in the pronouns teachers and other students used for him. He also used the boys' bathrooms—until September 22, when he was pulled out of class by guidance counselors who told him that someone had anonymously reported that he was using the boy's bathrooms, and that he had to use the school's gender-neutral bathrooms instead.

My gut says he was probably reported by a parent, and whoever they are they should mind their own business and go fuck themselves. It clearly wasn't an issue at all until someone snooped on him. That's ironic considering that transphobes say transgender people are the snoopers.

The lawsuit says the school has violated Title IX of the Civil Rights Act and the Equal Protection Clause of the Fourteenth Amendment.

I hope the young man keeps right on using the boys’ bathroom. Way too much trouble to report him EVERY time he pees! He can wear ’em out by the time he graduates.

    These fucking people…

  • Some kid mentioned the existence of a transgender kid, probably thinking it wasn’t a big deal (because all my kids friends are like “meh” when you ask them about transgenders because at least half of them are bi and they couldn’t care less about someone’s gender presentation) and the parents (who are so uptight their ass squeaks when they walk) freaked out and reported it. What a bunch of nosy assholes.

Imagine what a much better place this will be when all of the generations Gen X and older are gone? I hope even we Gen Xers are enough with the program that we aren’t stinking up the place and aren’t the reason “we can’t have nice things.”

      • I know what you mean. Unfortunately, I know quite a few folks from high school who are pretty closed minded (ie Trump supporters). I honestly wonder what percentage of Gen X’ers are liberal on social issues versus Millennials and Generation Z.

          Same here, unfortunately.

Thanks pal. This (recently) septuagenarian has been waiting decades for enough of you young’uns to have my back so we could storm the battlements and topple the old guard and their destructive, deplorable, rigid, prejudiced ways. While it seems that most young people are more tolerant of freedom than the older ones were, they can’t seem to get their noses out of their cellphones long enough to even vote.
What hurt me most from the disastrous 2016 election was that we are now losing all the progress that has been made in my entire lifetime and I cannot retire to comfortable old-codgerhood but instead must return to the front lines of the culture war. I cannot enjoy newfound respectability but must go back underground as an “outlaw”.
        Resist!
