  • Thank the gods, Trump and his sycophants are eedjits! Which was my point to one of Ashby’s posts yesterday. A stable Democracy cannot rely on the incompetency of potential dictators.

Thanks Buzz..I said the same thing. The media is trapped in a model of making money at all costs, they have to get back to truth telling as the goal and not place propagandists in front of the cameras.

Except he doesn’t look in the mirror and say “pretty good,” he says “I’m the most virile, important, handsome man ever on the planet.”

Regardless, and that’s shocking, regardless of all the Russia involvement, Rump has had so many sleazy business dealings, tax cheats, bribery, etc that I simply can’t believe he hasn’t been prosecuted before. (Bribing to avoid prosecution for his fake university, one example among many.) Plus, the “obstruction of justice” seems awfully obvious a long time ago with using his office to fire Bharara (sp) and Comey. I still have to raise a flag about “where is the alarm” over this tax bill and all the other stuff? It seems like nothing is happening..that the media simply ignores anything remotely complicated and now this whole nightmare has been normalized.

    Poe’s Law:
“…without a clear indicator of the author’s intent, it is impossible to create a parody of extreme views so obviously exaggerated that it cannot be mistaken by some readers or viewers as a sincere expression of the parodied views.”

“No, he doesn’t dye his hair – he’s just prematurely orange.” –Gerald Ford (re: Ronald Reagan)

“Anchors having an opinion isn’t a new phenomenon. Murrow had one and that was the end of McCarthy. Cronkite had one and that was the end of Vietnam.” –Charlie Skinner

That little show for the press today of our “stable, genius” looked a lot like reruns of Celebrity Apprentice. Pretending to be in charge for TV cameras. trump is still in office because there are corrupt forces foreign and domestic that can use him.
It is the only reason he is in office in the first place. You can tell that the accounts in Fire and Fury are true because you can see how ridiculously people have to cater to this ill and declining ego driven cretin by the ridiculous statements that he makes in his tweets and elsewhere. The “privilege” of voting for him, etc. That’s what the ‘standing ovation’ was about.
Just as the Chinese have figured out easily how to push twittler’s buttons, so have those in the GOP who need him to sign things. Just as was demonstrated by the official Ass Smoocher and resident neo-Nasi of this administration, Steven Miller, who has lasted longer than the Mooch but who basically says the same ridiculous suck up stuff.
They have to do this to keep trump from flipping out. His family was aware of his dementia even during the campaign when don jr went to Kasich and offered him the role of acting POTUS so that trump could spend most of his time doing exactly what he is doing now. Watching TV and golfing. I have a feeling that McMaster’s reported support for a ‘bloody-nose’ strike against North Korea has the same purpose. To mollify trump so that they don’t have to remove him for attempting to order a nuclear strike. Speculation. But there really is no other reason at this time for such an action to even be discussed other than to mollify trump and keep the toddler from screaming and throwing a tantrum.
Secretary of Defense Mattis opposes such a move because he is aware of and has to deal with the military consequences of such an action.

“A whole lotta lumps”. I believe you’re talking about Peter Puma…

One of the most telling indications that the Steele Dossier was true was the Russian response to it. There was one man suspected of being a source who was found dead in the back of his Lexus in Moscow on December 26,2016. His name was Oleg Erovinkin and here is a link to an article of that time about his death.

    • And we now know the Steele Dossier wasn’t even US intelligence’s first information.
