  • Point of order:
“Political Legitimacy” is only valid in the context of democracy. It’s of no consequence to 45*. What he’s trying to do is to keep a requisite 35% of the people (aka: the base) buffaloed – as long as they go on believing his presidency is legit, he can then move to maintain an Artificial Legitimacy by force.
    This is the Daddy State.

PS) No Daddy State survives when just 3 or 4% of its citizens consistently and actively resist.

PPS) Another good show, guys. Keep doin’ that.

Combine the GRU disinformation with Bernie and Stein repeating some of it and Comey interfering..it was a perfect storm. If Bernie had an ounce of honor, he wouldn’t insert himself into any future elections. There will be so much propaganda released about him because guess what.. they already have it. They just have to rehash it all, positive to split the vote, negative to allow the right to win.

Oh no..of course we shouldn’t say Rump was treasonous..I’ve seen articles whitewashing his shitty, treasonous performance. Un f’ing believable..I’m so, so f’ing sick of this dog and pony, emperor’s new clothes bullshit. His asinine excuse isn’t even remotely believable. Nope..this probably still won’t change things. The only way these scumbags keep going is by never admitting wrongdoing, never ever apologizing, propagandizing every issue into blame of the left. Rump’s jackass “clarification” was ridiculous yesterday, and he probably won’t ever be called out for it. Proof positive, they broadcast a Rump supporter calling in and thanking Russia for interfering in the election. They..don’t..care. We really are in big trouble. I’m sick of the left having to aspire to higher levels, yet the right can cheer on cheating elections and rigging Supreme Court seats. I’ve said from the night this happened, just the right number of votes in just the right places..no. They stole this election. With foreign help.

There is a reason that trump is insecure about his legitimacy. Guilty fffffffer that he is, he is well aware of how utterly illegitimate he is in that office. The election process was hopelessly corrupted and he, his campaign staff and his own son actively sought to take part in that corruption.
    Of course he’s not legitimate.

Remember, remember, the 8th of November,
    Collusion, Treason and Plot;
I know of no reason Collusion and Treason
    Should ever be forgot.

The thing about impeachment is that if voted for in the House there must be a public trial in the Senate. That involves witnesses, fair and open procedures, argument, and that involves the introduction of evidence. There is some value to that even if the gop controls the Senate for if the evidence is there and it is clear and the gop votes along party line to acquit they will have to justify this to themselves and to the rest of the country. This is not a blowjob we are talking about.
This is conspiring with a hostile foreign power that thinks it has some right to take back Alaska, (maybe there are some Russian speaking people there, could be, “we’ll see what happens” ) to break all kinds of American laws to put in the Oval Office someone who will do the bidding of that hostile foreign power.
For me, the evidence that the process of the election was hopelessly corrupted by Russian intelligence operations is clear.
And the evidence that that illegal corruption of the election was welcomed by the candidate of the gop and many in that party is also clear. It would be like letting an attorney for the defendant have personal information and personal access to the jurors in a trial. This is an illegal ex parte action. The whole process is corrupted by this action. The result cannot be presumed to be legitimate. Especially so when the other candidate won the popular vote by close to 3 million votes and the electoral college was tipped by an aggregate of 70,000 votes in 3 states. A targeted operation like this is the kind of operation that a foreign intelligence agency carries out. They cannot affect the overall popular vote because the margin is too high and they would need to act in all 50 states. But narrow it down to 70,000 voters in 3 states and they are in business and able to affect the outcome with precise, stolen information on voters.
Representative John Lewis was right. This election result is not legitimate.

  • I don’t know if anyone remembers but I said on this very site many months ago that the Trumpov Crisis was as bad for our country as The Civil War. And today, Buzz said it as well. History is not going to be kind and the last few years will be a critical juncture when they write about the decline and fall of the United States.

And what about Putin pausing when they asked him about whether he had kompromat on Trumpov? Holy crap, it’s right there!!!!!

Flake will Flake. Like McCain, he ALWAYS votes with the GOP. They both talk a very good game of being “mavericky” but when the rubber meets the road, they do whatever the party wants.
